Where can I get married?

Where can I get Married?

You are entitled to be married in the church of the Church of England parish where one or other of you lives. So that means that if either you or your partner live in our Ecclesiastical Parish you can married at St Paul's or St Barnabas. To find out which parish you live in click here and enter your postcode.

If you don't live in our parish your may still be able to be married here. The way you can do that is to join our church electoral roll (separate and entirely different from the borough electoral roll): you will be expected to come to one of our church services regularly for six months before going on the roll.

If you want to be married in St Barnabas the same conditions above apply, but St Barnabas is not licenced for weddings. This means you will need to apply for an Archbishop's Special Licence. If the above conditions are met this is not a problem but will incur additional fees.
